Lower Brandywine is a warm and welcoming church and we are easy to visit.  The Church is located across from Winterthur on Kennett Pike / DE-52 in North Wilmington, with plenty of parking onsite.  Climb the front stairs to our Sanctuary or enter through Fellowship Hall to take the elevator up.  We are a welcoming family of faith open to all people.   If you are seeking a spiritual home where your faith can grow through worship, education, service and fellowship, we invite you to join us.

Summer Schedule: In June, July and August we offer a single Worship service at 10:00 am on Sunday mornings.  Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.  However, there is no communion in July.

School Year:  9:00 am Worship
This worship service places more emphasis on congregational singing, led by our Worship Consort and accompanied by piano, guitar, drums and other instruments.

School Year:  10:30 am Worship
This worship service is more traditional. Our Chancel Choir and Organist lead the music for this service.

Lower Brandywine Church has a rich musical tradition with many talented singers, ringers, musicians and dancers among our members. Our members’ talents add energy and variety to the worship services at different times throughout the year.

Throughout the program year, from September through early June, Sunday School or a worship activity is offered for children and youth K- 12 during the 9:00 AM service.  Our youth group, LIFT, meets during the 10:30 AM service.  Nursery care is also provided.

The first Sunday of each month we celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper.  Communion at the contemporary service, 9:00 am, is taken by intinction; while communion at the traditional service, 10:30 am, is served with trays.  Visitors are invited to participate in communion. Children are also welcome to remain in the Sanctuary to share communion time with their families.
